| Milton Bridge Ceramic Colours Limited was founded in 1982 by our current Directors Geoff Turrell and David Bracegirdle. Prior to this, Geoff and David had acquired 35 years experience in the enamelling and ceramic industry. The majority of this experience was gained at Wengers Ltd, the first manufacturers of copper and glass enamel in the UK.
Since 1982 Milton Bridge has evolved its business into two distinct sectors – Ceramic Supplies and Jewellery Enamels.
Our Ceramic Supplies department combines the manufacture of a range of stoneware and earthenware, transparent and opaque glazes, coloured glazes, stains, underglaze, onglaze enamel and glass enamels, with the supply of clay, raw materials, tools, machinery and kilns throughout the commercial, education and craft market. We also manufacture a range of frits, both for own use and for the commercial market, and are one of the largest suppliers of plaster to the ceramic industry in the UK.
Our Jewellery Enamelling department manufactures our own range of transparent, opaque and opalescent jewellery enamel. We also manufacture the Schauer range of transparent, opaque and opalescent jewellery enamel. To complement these ranges of enamels, we also supply a wide range of tools, copper blanks, findings and media. We also distribute the EFCO range of enamelling kilns and controllers throughout the UK.
